Full board on board. Morning spent cruising toward Lutzelbourg. You will enjoy lunch by candlelight, while we pass through the Arzviller and Niderviller Tunnels. Early in the afternoon, our boat will pass through the Artzviller inclined plane for a truly unforgettable experience. A fantastic piece of workmanship, this type of transverse boat lift is the only one of its kind in Europe. Stop at the local crystal workshop. Located at the foot of the incline for over 25 years, the crystal workshop is a family-run business specializing in the art of hand blowing and cutting crystal. Back on board and our boat will continue on to Lutzelbourg. The canal winds through the Vosges Mountains before joining the Lorraine region. Arrival in Lutzelbourg early in the evening. Overnight.

Full board on board. Set off on foot to marvel at Lutzelbourg Castle. Perched at over 980 feet above sea level on a rocky, red sandstone spur, the ruins of the castle majestically dominate the village down in the Zorn Valley. Back on board and departure of the boat toward Saverne. In the afternoon, visit of the Château de Hohbarr, often called “the Eye of Alsace”, and you will discover splendid view of the Alsatian plains. Free time to explore or relax in Saverne before returning on board. Overnight.

Full board on board. Guided tour of Saverne. Virtually unknown by the usual tourist routes, Saverne offers a wide range of places to discover: the Grand Rue with its unicorn fountain (the town's emblem); the Katz house, adorned with magnificent carved timbers; Notre Dame Church with its 12th-century steeple; various 18th-century administrative buildings; and the Récollets Monastery founded in the 14th century. Back on board. The afternoon is spent cruising toward Waltenheim, passing the charming village of Hochfelden, and Schwindratzheim, nestled on a hillside. Arrival in Waltenheim early in the evening. For dinner, you will discover the “tarte flambée”, a local specialty served at a restaurant in Waltenheim. Our boat will remain in port overnight.

Full board on board. Hiking tour along the hops trail in Wingersheim. Your pleasurable hike through the hop fields will be followed by beer tasting. Back on board and departure of the boat toward Strasbourg. Cruise through the Zorn Valley and its landscaped fields, where the canal is wide and straight.
